Crazy things happen in my world!
Hey guys! I know you somewhere on the internet saw my picture of my crocheted pillows and thought “wow, I’m could do that, that would look great in my sofa”.
I’m SO SORRY!! I had to delete my pattern!
I know this is disappointing but there is a reason for it! I will tell you why:
I crocheted these pillows maybe a year ago. I didn’t think about, had no pattern, just did by head. So when I decided to make this blog with my patterns, naturally I decided to write down the pattern. Got a lot of respond and everything was great.
So this morning I got a mail from this Danish woman: “You have copied my pattern and I would like if you deleted it”. That was crazy to me, I didn’t copy anything. So I googled her pattern, and sure enough, the pillows are almost exactly identical! Really weird coincident!
So I had to choose. Keep my pattern up for the joy of you guys or deleting it. I chose to delete it. This woman makes her living on her crochet and knit patterns and I was taking away money from her. And I just couldn’t do that to her, she is such a great designer and a very nice person. And her patterns is her way of making money for her and her family.
But know you think, “yeah that’s all nice and stuff but what about me, I want to make these pillows”
There’s hope yet!
Now I asked, and the small pillow was no problem, that one didn’t look like hers, so that pattern is still on my blog for free.
You can find it here: Small Pillow – Free Crochet Pattern
As for the big one, you’ll have to buy that from her. It’s about 7$ and then you get a pattern for a long pillow in the same design too! So two pillow patterns. The only problem is: It’s in Danish. So on the off-chance you can read Danish, the no problem. But if you are like 7 billion people minus the 6 million that live in Denmark, then you can’t.
Luckily there’s hope yet. If you wait. Because we talked back and forth and she has thought about translating her patterns for a while. And now she has hired me to translate the pillow patterns for her (funny how that turned out). I will do this asap. As soon as she has her Ravelry store up and running I promise I will link to it, so you can get the patterns.
As for now I will link to the Danish shop, just in case you know somebody who speaks Danish:
Again so sorry guys, but in the world of crochet there has to be room for everybody, also the people who depend on it as an income!
You can still follow me for my future patterns here:
You may not sell my patterns or claim them as your own. You may make items to sell (i.e. on Etsy, at craft fairs) from my patterns but I ask that you link back to my blog and provide credit for the pattern. You are welcome to share my patterns on social media so long as you link back directly to my blog post (providing the link). No copy & paste of my patterns will be allowed under any circumstances
